  • If you are lookinf for a classic cheesy horror film… look further. There was alot of and why did I buy this going on. However, the second one did have some redeming qualities in it. The comedy relief in the end was about all that saved it. Cheesy bad unil the very end. I wanted to love these movies and well that just wasn’t possible. You know what get them just to say that you have one of the all time bad movies out there. The female vamires were horrible and needed tons of work. I know I am used to more detailed better effects but I am also able to appreciate the old films out there. I can appreciate that I have seen this film and that I now own it but I probaly won’t be watching it again any time soon.

  • When These Movies came out they caused a great stir in the theaters and were renound for there scaring ability, to see them now is to relive the past and to see how starved of good movies we were

  • I found this movie at Amazon. I have tried to rent it at video stores in the past and was unable; not in stock. It is a movie I saw as a child and was very scared. I love vampire movies to this day and haven’t seen any really good ones. I remembered this one and I still love it. I wish they would have made more.

  • Five stars to nostalgia. Return of Count Yorga and The War of the Gargantuas were the stuff my childhood nightmares were made of. When I saw both films again I was again scared. Thanks to the amygdala and childhood memories, inner kid alive and well. In comparison, Count Yorga, Vampire, that I didn’t see as a kid, was as the Return really is without the memories taking hold. A bad film. I wonder what the opinion of a fresh viewer would be. But memories are not objective. Hence the five stars.

  • I really enjoyed this double feature. I remember watching these movies as a pre-teen. Although they can be campy with obvious low budget restraints, the storylines are well thought out and Robert Quarry’s performances are priceless! I would recommend this DVD highly!
